Amy Matheny
In her nine-year radio career, Matheny has interviewed over 4,500 entertainers, politicians, and LGBT activists. Having just celebrated her 100th podcast of Chicago’s Windy City Queercast, with guest Cyndi Lauper, "I can tell my story on a daily or weekly basis and share my life, and talk to A-list celebrities and normal LGBT folk about their lives," says Matheny. She's also got a solid cult following from Xena Live!, a musical based on the TV show, that Matheny conceived, produced, and starred in as Gabrielle. She also hosts events around Chicago including Windy City Gay Idol, now in its fifth year. –DP
