Mia Riverton
The multi-talented, multi-cultural, and “multi-sexual” Riverton developed and produced the independent film, Red Doors, with her Harvard college buddies, Georgia Lee (writer and director) and Jane Chen (co-producer). Their labor of love went on to win the 2005 Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival in the NY, NY category, and a Grand Jury Prize for Best Screenwriting and an Audience Award for Best First Feature at Outfest Film Festival, 2005. Red Doors tells the story of a Chinese-American family who cope with their relationships with each other as they enter different stages in their lives. Riverton, a seasoned actor, plays the love interest to one of the daughters in the family, adding a steamy lesbian storyline to the film. –RD
