Don’t be surprised to see Collier smiling these days; it’s only natural for a champion. ER doc by day, Collier helped the New York Rugby Club win the national championship this year, their first number one finish. It doesn’t look like Collier will be ending her 15-year career in rugby any time soon. She now coaches a U-19 club team with her teammate and partner of four years, Lisa Lake. “How many people on the club would otherwise be pent up angry New Yorkers?” she says with a smile. She is equally sincere about her day job: “I feel like I do some stuff to help people out, and they are generally appreciative at the end of the day. There’s lots of satisfaction,” she says. –SD
