Showtime's chief legal officer Marcus also oversees the network’s HR department. Throughout her 20-year tenure, she’s influenced both its programming and its internal issues, such as the company's same-sex partnership benefits program. Marcus fell in love with her partner Nancy 25 years ago, and in honor of their 20th anniversary, they were featured in The New York Times Sunday Styles section as part of GLAAD's equality initiative. Marcus was named one of POWER UP’s 10 Most Amazing Women in Showbiz and is a regular speaker in New York high schools on Showtime’s LGBT programming.
