Meredith Kadlec
As vice-president of original programming for here! TV, Kadlec is acutely aware that “the decisions we make on a daily basis can potentially have some positive impact on someone who watches the network.” This Detroit native moved to Los Angeles to work as a production assistant on Mad About You, served as Infront Productions’ director of development, and directed two award-winning shorts. Kadlec relishes the work she has done over the last two years with here!. She says, “Visibility has been, and continues to be, critical in validating people’s experiences and in helping LGBT people know that they are not alone in their experiences. …The more that positive LGBT stories of all kinds are out there, the more people who are not part of this community understand who we are, and that really, we are just like them.”
