“’I Didn't Just Kiss Her’” was intended as a humorous, fictional, and openly lesbian response to Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed A Girl’,” singer/songwriter Jen Foster says of her catchy tune that recently rocked the gay airwaves. She explains, “Once the title came to me, the song just flowed - and I wrote it in a couple of hours. It was really fun to write, for obvious reasons.” The clever ditty, about doing it with a straight woman who wants to “keep it all a secret” racked up 30,000 plays on MySpace in the first week after it was released. This month, Foster will launch a quarterly songwriters’ series in Nashville called The Writer's Share, featuring hit songwriters in both the country and pop genres, and her new album Thirty-Nine will be released this summer. -CB

Remember, these are in no particular order because we love them all!
