Christina Ferraz has crack skills as a writer, reporter and radio DJ which gave her an edge when starting her Philadelphia-based brand management and marketing company, Thirty6Five. "Marketing is no longer about the stuff you make, but the stories you tell," says Ferraz. "Where hundreds of events, restaurants, and companies all over Philadelphia were not utilizing social media correctly, I saw missed revenue for businesses and a lack of exposure for the city I love most." Ferraz, a voracious reader and researcher, knows how quickly the social media landscape can change. She says a new, super-fast storytelling model is the way of the future in marketing-and Ferraz, also a former publicist and social media specialist, is uniquely poised to help. "With advancements in social media and the integration of video on Instagram, you only have 15 seconds to capture the attention of your audience," she points out. "What are you saying and who are you saying it to? I found most companies did not know." Her infectious enthusiasm for Philadelphia drives her to succeed. "This city is full of impassioned people trying to make a difference," she says. "It is mind-blowing what can happen when a group of people committed to change unite over a common passion; often, they change the world."
