Talk About An Anti-Climax, Part Two
For a couple of weeks in April, media insiders buzzed with the oh so secret rumor that a special someone, a well-known celebrity, was going to come out in People Magazine’s May 5 issue. Printed speculation veered from the obvious (Johnny Weir?) to the ridiculous (Oprah?) in the days leading up to the big reveal; sources breathily indicated that whoever it was would be an entertainer, nay, a musician, and female at that. We all waited with baited breath till the 5th when we learned that our out-of-the-closet heroine was none other than—wait for it!—country singer Chely Wright! Who? Exactly. Well, Chely and crew: at least now we’re talking about you.
