It wasn’t until after they started dating that Lizxnn and Amy realized they’d practically lived parallel lives for years. These two fire signs grew up surrounded by NYC’s activist punk community, and for years they passed each other like ships in the night on their way to riot grrrl meetings and all-ages punk shows. A decade later, the two officially met at a friend’s moving party. “It’s great being with someone who gets where I’m coming from,” says Lizxnn. They passionately support each other’s work, whether it’s concocting a vegetarian potluck, building display units for Lizxnn’s art show or promoting Amy’s monthly party Hey Queen! “With me being an Aries, and Lizxnn a Sagittarius, it pretty much means that we either agree or disagree passionately,” says Amy. But that friction just heats things up: “either way, we’re doing it with style!”
