One of the Big Apple’s most dazzling holiday traditions, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, celebrates its 75th birthday this year, and the show promises to pack a more festive punch than ever! In addition to impressive dance routines, elaborate costumes and sets, and of course, lots-o-legs, the 75th anniversary Christmas Spectacular boasts a brand-new number called “New York at Christmas,” where the world-famous Rockettes board an almost full-size double-decker bus and whiz past a kinetic montage of landmarks in a thrilling tour of New York during the holiday season.

Add some Latin flavor to your holidays and join the crowds in the streets of El Barrio Jan 4 for El Museo del Barrio’s 31st Annual Three Kings’ Day Parade. Celebrate the joy of the holiday season and learn about the traditions of this festive holiday throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. El Museo’s dynamic parade led by the Three Kings, winds throughout the streets of El Barrio and includes lively music, bright costumes, as well as an educational theatrical presentation for students. A community celebration with live music follows on Jan 6.

Nightlife superstar Mr. Murray Hill rings in the New Year with a laugh-tastic, boozy, bodacious variety show—Murray Hill’s New Years Eve Extravaganza—with New York’s finest wild and wacky performers. The Dec 31 Zipper Factory event features guests Dirty Martini, Neal Medlyn, Bridgett Everett, The Wau Wau Sisters’ Adrienne Truscott, Tigger, and as the clock strikes midnight…well, they don’t have a ball drop that wastes our planet’s energy. They have a BOOB drop! The World Famous *BOB*’s ample bosom (a.k.a. “The Twins”) is dropped, or set free, at midnight. This is a countdown you won’t want to miss!

Follow the crowd for a change and squeeze into Times Square for the world’s most famous New Year’s Eve Celebration. You may have to stake your spot out two days in advance, you may freeze, and you may go blind from neon and confetti in your eyes, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Bite the bullet, fill up the flask and do it!
