Holy Holes: Absolute Stalls, June 14–Aug 3 at the Dumbo Arts Center, is a multimedia exhibition exploring different viewpoints on the relationship between religion, power and economics. This show looks at religion from a humorous, poetic and critical perspective, subverting traditional expectations and inviting the viewer to interact, transform, or reflect on the relationship between religious rituals and consumerist everyday practices.
Pink & Bent: Art of Queer Women Leslie/ Lohman Gay Art Foundation presents Pink & Bent, an exhibition of international artwork by queer women. Pink & Bent celebrates the artists’ diversity and visibility while exploring such topics as gender, self-identity and self-representation, and hopes to enlighten audiences with regard to the various experience of queer women within the context of artistic expression and freedom.
