The Very Best of NYC Music

Indigo Girls, Toshi Reagon, Dar Williams and more…

Sept 26 at Radio City Music Hall, Brandi Carlile brings her intense, throaty folk-rock passion to town, opening for Sheryl Crow. Carlile performs songs from her latest album, Giving Up the Ghost, on which she unveils her talents in their truest form with eclectic song that straddle the genres of pop, rock, alternative country and folk.

For more than two decades, Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have presented some of their best music in front of cheering crowds—sometimes in the cramped confines of a small club, sometimes in a vast arena cramped with thousands. Catch the Grammy winners up close and personal in Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall on Oct. 23.

Community favorites Toshi Reagon and Dar Williams hit City Winery on Oct 15–16 in their Great Companions tour. Reagon’s versatile approach to song continues to move audiences of all kinds with her big-hearted, hold-nothing-back approach to rock, blues, R&B, country, folk, spirituals and funk; while Williams promises to thrill the crowd with her insightful, melodic story-songs injected with the energy and momentum they clearly call for.
