The party serves to raise much-needed funds that allow New York City's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Center to keep its doors open 365 days a year. Most importantly, the money raised at Garden Party allows the Center to build and support the LGBT community through advocacy, culture and health programs, as well as meeting and conference services. Garden Party attracts over 2,000 friends and supporters andfeatures 40 food participants.

FRONT RUNNERS NEW YORK ANNUAL PRIDE RUN
9am start, see website for registration details, frny.org Front Runners New York, an athletics club catering to the LGBT community, describes their 5 mile Pride Run through Central park as "the centerpiece of the club's yearly roster of races and social events." This year will mark FRNY's 29th Pride Run and is promised to draw "4,000 runners of every stripe." With participants from all over the world, $5000 in prize money and post-race raffle prizes, this years Pride Run is a key Pride Week event.
