The Winter Antiques Show celebrates its 57th year as America’s most distinguished antiques show Jan 21 through 30, 2011 at the Park Avenue Armory. The show features exceptional objects from 75 specialists in American, English, European and Asian fine and decorative arts from antiquity through the 1960s, all vetted for authenticity. All net proceeds from the show benefit East Side House Settlement and contribute substantially to its work in the South Bronx community.

On Feb 7, Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS presents Broadway Backwards 6, the only annual Broadway event custom-made for the gay and lesbian community and our friends and families. This event will feature some of Broadway’s biggest names singing songs originally written for the opposite gender: women singing songs written for men and men singing songs written for women. By keeping all of the lyrics intact, including the original pronouns, each song takes on an entirely new dimension, sometimes with hysterical results and sometimes with immensely touching results. Broadway Backwards will give its audience a chance to see and hear some of the most treasured songs of the Great White Way in a whole new key.
