the M word is a freelance writer/blogger/ poet. A graduate of Montclair State University in NJ, M received a BA in English and minored in Women Studies.

Besides writing, M enjoys a myriad of fun sh*t: painting with cheap acrylics, reading real chick lit, crocheting cool scarves & blankets,  dying her hair, swimming in blue waters, getting tattooed, sipping on Sangria,  listening to all types of funky tunes, watching horror flicks, and eating Thai food.

M lives in Jersey, but longs to follow the nomad that is her heart and travel the world, gypsy-style. Her heroines include her grandmother, Bitch, Gloria Steinem, Alice Walker, Margaret Cho, Kate Bornstein, Mother Teresa, Alix Olsen, Emma Goldman, Maria Sabina, Adrienne Rich, and Judith Butler.
