San Diego is home to neighborhoods that are rich in cultural and artistic diversity and thrive on collaboration and dialogue. The Center for Community & Cultural Arts’ upcoming exhibition, Local Motion, seeks to capture this vibrancy by highlighting the thought-provoking work being created by San Diego-based artists, with a particular focus on those who live and work in its southeastern
neighborhoods.
The exhibition is the continuation of a conversation on cultural themes, interpersonal relationships, and visual culture that is bringing renewed vibrancy to southeastern San Diego. Whether the artist is rooted in craft and tradition or cutting-edge technology, they are all interwoven into our personal stories or conceptual expressions.
