In figurative paintings filled with fantastic and symbolic imagery, Frank Moore (1953–2002) addressed themes drawn from American visual culture, the state of the healthcare and farming industries, and his personal life. His paintings often explore human effects on the natural environment in, as he noted, "sites of great, but toxic, beauty."
