At an intimate gathering of nineteen guests Saturday night, Ellen Degeneres legally married Portia de Rossi.
After dating for four years, Degeneres announced the engagement on her day time talk show after the California state Supreme Court overturned the ban on same sex marriage on May 16, 2008.
The couple held the ceremony in their Los Angeles home, decorated with flowers and candy, both dressed in Zac Posen, and exchanged Neil Lane rings.
"The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day," says de Rossi. "And one that we'll never forget."
