Yesterday morning, former Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett lost her long battle with anal cancer at the age of 62.
Fawcett, who passed away at the St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, was with her on-again, off-again partner Ryan O’Neal and her friend Alana Stewart at the time of her death.
In 2007 Fawcett was declared cancer-free, but according to the doctors at the University of California, Los Angeles, medical center, her cancer returned three months later. Fawcett even flew to Germany to try experimental treatments, yet published reports indicate she’d stopped fighting the cancer weeks ago.
Fawcett’s fame dates back to the 1970s, when she was the star of Charlie’s Angels. The actress then established herself as a more serious presence with critically-acclaimed turns in movie, like The Burning Bed.
