This year’s theme is “Help Me Imagine.” HMI, a leader in direct services and advocacy for LGBTQ youth, encourages the community to imagine a world where all young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, can achieve their full potential. The event boasts 1100 + guests, including influencers from the world of finance, fashion, theatre, beauty and more. Past honorees include Michael Bloomberg, Chelsea Clinton, Arianna Huffington, Ryan Murphy, Cory Booker, Harvey Milk High School co-founder Dr. Joyce Hunter, Mary-Louise Parker, researcher Jeffrey Ravetch, Andy Cohen, Chris Salgardo, President, Kiehl’s USA, 2014-2015 Broadway Production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and more.

A re-imagined holiday classic, The Brooklyn Nutcracker fuses ballet, hip-hop and a myriad of world dance genres to create a new tradition for today’s audience. The Brooklyn Nutcracker transforms familiar Nutcracker characters and scenes to represent the diverse traditions and vibrant culture of melting pot Brooklyn. Starting from the point of view of old Dutch Brooklyn and leading to the iconic Flatbush Avenue, the production is fresh and full of virtuosity—in essence, a moving Christmas card to the borough Brooklyn Ballet calls home. Ticket prices start at $25 All opening night tickets include champagne (or sparkling cider) toast at intermission.
