A Talk by Dr. Simona Giunta, Ph.D.
Cancer affects one in three people worldwide.
New estimates show that in 50 years, anyone living long enough will get cancer. But do you know what cancer really is? In this talk, you will hear that cancer comes from a single one of your own cells, why that cell goes ‘crazy’, why it is so difficult to find a cure, and how you can live in a way to stack up your odds against this terrible disease. This talk may just change your life.
Know SciSimona is a scientist ence founder, Dr. Simona Giunta does cutting-edge research on Cancer, and the genetics of Cancer, at Rockefeller University.
This comedic and heart warming story follows Graham Chili, a country boy from Texas who has just moved to New York City to follow his dreams as a wall street stock broker by day and a cabaret singer by night. Looking to make friends and connect with his new surroundings in the spirit of his hometown "mega church capital," and fresh off the bus in Timesquare, he enters a Manhattan Mega church in search of the "choir practice" room. Instead he erroneously stumbles upon four different 12 step addiction meetings going on in the church basement that divert his attention, inspire his love life, and creates new friends and life realizations!
Hit songs in the show include "Making Amends," "Everyone is Addicted to Something," and "Higher Power!"
