September 30, 2016 at House of Yes, $15-$30
Founded on downtown LA rooftops and raised in Venice Beach basements, Bixel Boys and Hunter Siegel are the epitome of what bass music is all about - summer's end fun, reimagined house music and a carefree approach to partying. We’re giving you a dose of eviscerating and face-melting bass music at House of Yes, with a dance floor flanked by go-go dancers and extravaganza! Brooklyn selector Alex Raouf kicks the evening off with his signature curatorial mixes. The venue's signature revelry is in full effect. We’re talking performers with out-of-this-world outfits and aerialists that will take you to moon and back! 21+ TICKETS:
September 30, 2016 at Dixon Place, $12-18
InTandem Lab’s Instructions to Decode A(n In)human transformation is a postmodern punk “roach” Kabaret inspired by Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis. Written in verse by Gisela Cardenas and delivered as spoken poetry by a cast of three, I2Decode explores the intertwining of live music, video mapping and words. I2Decode portrays the protagonist of The Metamorphosis, Gregor Samsa, on a high ride after his transformation into a bug. Interspersed seamlessly throughout the piece, Milica Paranosic’s wild, eerie and sensual score is played by an electronic cello, which takes the audience on a journey from the wildness of a punk rock kabaret to the subtle underscoring of the bug’s world.
September 30, 2016 at The Metropolitan Pavilion, $20
