On Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 9pm, Works & Process at the Guggenheim presents Commedia dell’arte and a moderated discussion with American composer and musical pioneer, John Zorn. Zorn’s Commedia dell’arte is a suite of five miniatures inspired by the dell’arte characters Harlequin, Colombina, Scaramouche, Pulcinella, and Pierrot.
DJ George Faya and instructor Dina Ivas (www.yogawithdina.com) lead you through an hour of vinyasa flow accompanied by deep house grooves. Reach your bliss. Free refreshments courtesy of Revive Kombucha. Stay for brunch and bottomless mimosas!

Bronx Arts Ensemble presents two scenes from Riverdale composer Laura Kaminsky’s chamber opera, As One. The work depicts the experiences of its transgender protagonist, Hannah, sung by mezzo-soprano Blythe Gaissert. Program also includes music by John Dowland: Two Laments: Go Crystal Tears and Flow My Tears; Samuel Barber: Dover Beach, Op. 3; and Robert Schumann: String Quartet #2 in F Major, Op. 41.
Peggy Shaw and Lois Weaver of Split Britches present a Retro(per)spective of their 35 years of gender-bending vaudevillian performance. show Called Retro(per)spective this evening is a compilation of performances that act as a Split Britches greatest hits album for those who remember the 1980's and a Split Britches primer for those who may have missed it! This scrapbooked show weaves together much-loved moments from their earliest work, including Upwardly Mobile Home (1984), and Anniversary Waltz (1989) and Belle Reprieve (1990) as well as more recent pieces from the likes of Lost Lounge and Miss America.
