10am - 11:15am at South Street Seaport Museum, $200 for the 8 class session
The South Street Seaport Museum announces the Fall 2016 session of its educational children's miniMATES program for children ages 18 months – 4 years. miniMATES will be held at the South Street Seaport Museum on Mondays and Thursdays, October 20th through December 15th from 10AM-11:15AM. Join us on a voyage of discovery and fun through the South Street Seaport Museum’s interactive early childhood program, miniMATES! Through themed songs, stories, art projects, and hands-on activities, program participants and their caregivers will learn about the sea, boats, marine life, and museum objects in a playgroup setting. miniMATES targets key aspects of development including language, creativity, and fine-motor skills.
10am - 6pm at LIAIGRE TOWNHOUSE, n/a
On November 18th, 2016, Lauren Collin will be exhibiting 13 pieces from her exclusive collection of her latest bas-reliefs series at the LIAIGRE New York townhouse. This exhibition in particular, allows Lauren’s pieces to be exposed to an environment and light outside of the typical gallery space, providing a unique reading to the paper achievements. Light, layout and material form allow the viewer to observe the subtle and unique dialogue between Lauren’s works and the space in which they are displayed. This circumstance is crucial during her creative approach as these factors have a significant impact on how the viewer will perceive the work. The 13 pieces on exhibition are displayed in a variety of sizes and layouts.
