Wonder/Through the Looking Glass Houses, by acclaimed transgender performance artist, choreographer and storyteller Arrie Davidson will play six performances only beginning Friday, December 2nd through Saturday, December 17th at 7:30 PM at Dixon Place. On November 18th, 2016, Lauren Collin will be exhibiting 13 pieces from her exclusive collection of her latest bas-reliefs series at the LIAIGRE New York townhouse. This exhibition in particular, allows Lauren’s pieces to be exposed to an environment and light outside of the typical gallery space, providing a unique reading to the paper achievements. Light, layout and material form allow the viewer to observe the subtle and unique dialogue between Lauren’s works and the space in which they are displayed. This circumstance is crucial during her creative approach as these factors have a significant impact on how the viewer will perceive the work. The 13 pieces on exhibition are displayed in a variety of sizes and layouts.

From Oy to Vey is a 20-minute raucous off-color opera vaudeville curtain raiser of five select pieces from the larger work by Seymour Barab. Two musical tales of Jewish humor and heartbreak. Lady of The Castle is set in 1947 after the Holocaust. Is there a young Jewish girl still hidden in the old castle? Based on a true story and Lea Goldberg’s Israeli play, Lady of the Castle is a chamber opera about illusion, reality, love, betrayal, death and hope.

In what has become an annual holiday tradition, Works & Process at the Guggenheim presents ten performances of Sergei Prokofiev's charming children's classic, Peter & the Wolf. Reviving the sold-out 2015 production, for the tenth year, renowned fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi will narrate the production. Brad Lubman will conduct Ensemble Signal. Mizrahi will narrate, direct, design the set and costumes, and his special cast will perform choreography by John Heginbotham, in which the familiar characters come to life in the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Guggenheim. The story brings 30 minutes of suspense, including a happy ending, and allows the young and young-at-heart to hear.
